Performance at Hartt

With dozens of performing organizations and more than 400 instrumental and vocal performances, recitals, plays, master classes, dance performances, and musical theatre productions a year, performance is central to Hartt's curriculum.

Hartt's students often collaborate across disciplines to present fully-staged opera and musical productions, recitals, and original works. Faculty and students also perform together frequently.

Hartt's students perform with Hartford Stage and as part of Goodspeed Musicals' Festival of New Works, through Partnership in Training agreements, as well as with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and other esteemed performing arts organizations in the area.

Through Hartt's GigLine, students also gain additional professional experience by performing for corporate and private client events.
