The Hartt School

The Hartt School’s graduate programs offer students the in-depth, advanced study needed to become experts in a chosen field. The Hartt School offers students an intimate learning experience with small classes, individual attention, numerous performance opportunities, and career counseling. Opportunities for graduate assistantships and fellowships help students gain professional experience while pursuing their education.

Hartt graduate students are active participants in their education. Flexible programs allow advanced students to create a program that serves their specific needs, while a core curriculum gives them a base of information to work with.

Hartt’s artist faculty provides instruction and mentorship for our select student body. Recognized nationally and internationally as performers, educators, composers and scholars, Hartt faculty members are active, talented artists who continue to excel. Through performances, recordings, books, articles, major awards, grants, and fellowships the faculty set an excellent example for their students. Interaction between faculty and students provides the framework for the development of future professional performing artists, composers, and educators.
