Audition Dates & Application Deadlines
Who needs to Audition/Interview
Applicants to all degree programs will audition and/or interview on Hartt's scheduled audition/interview dates. Please review the tables below to find out if you will audition, interview, or both. Only graduate level conducting, music education, artist diploma, and doctoral applicants will need to submit preliminary recordings.

*Conducting auditions with Hartt ensembles will be individually scheduled. Applicants will be contacted by e-mail to schedule their conducting auditions/interviews. Once the preliminary video is reviewed, applicants may be contacted with an invitation to audition in person on a date to be arranged.
Scheduling an Audition/Interview
Applicants will select their preferred audition/interview dates on the Hartt Supplemental Application. Both the University of Hartford and Hartt Supplemental Applications must be submitted before an audition/interview will be scheduled. Hartt Admissions will mail an Audition/Interview Confirmation Letter to the applicant confirming the audition date and schedule.
Please note: the application deadline for recorded auditions and telephone interviews is January 15.
