Performance 20/20 Honors Chamber Music Program
What is the Performance 20/20 program?
The Performance 20/20 program, Hartt's Honors Chamber Music Program, is made up of a select group of gifted undergraduate and graduate instrumental performance majors who share a strong commitment to chamber music. Through an intensive schedule of rehearsals and weekly coaching, participants perform on regularly scheduled Performance 20/20 chamber music concerts throughout the year. Performance 20/20 members are offered significant scholarships and the opportunity to study and perform chamber music in a professional atmosphere in addition to their other degree-required courses.
What should I do to prepare for my Hartt Admissions audition so that I am considered for Performance 20/20?
All auditioning instrumental performance applicants will automatically be considered for nomination to Performance 20/20. Students will be notified of their nomination by their auditioning committee. Those who have been nominated and who are interested in participating in this chamber music program will have a second audition for the Performance 20/20 committee following their admissions audition. Performance 20/20 final auditions are held on all on-campus audition dates.
What are the final Performance 20/20 audition requirements if I should be nominated?
Students will use the same repertoire for their Performance 20/20 audition as for their admissions audition.
Currently enrolled Hartt students may be nominated by their instrumental teacher for a preliminary in-house audition at any point in a degree program. Such students may audition at one of the Performance 20/20 Finals opportunities scheduled each year for currently enrolled students. If a student currently enrolled in Performance 20/20 applies for a different degree at Hartt, the student must re-audition for Performance 20/20.
