Why I Chose Hartt

The main reason I chose to come to Hartt was to study with my fabulous teacher, Marc Goldberg. Upon arriving, I discovered that one of Hartt's strengths is its many brilliant faculty members. I am very grateful to have had the chance to work with so many amazing teachers and performers.

Cathryn Gaylord holds an undergraduate degree in bassoon performance from Hartt and will be entering the Graduate Professional Diploma program in the fall. In addition to performing often in and around the Hartford area, she is a church organist throughout the year and spends her summers playing in and music directing plays for a summer stock theater company in Vermont.
