Early Childhood
The Hartt Community Division offers a variety of programs for young children.
Our unique First Steps in Music program was designed by Hartt's Dr. John Feierabend, a national leader in early childhood education. First Steps is offered for newborns up to children five years of age.
We offer private instruction for young children learning string instruments, piano, or flute, and the Connecticut Children's Choir for those as young as first grade.
Aspiring dancers can participate in our Children's Ballet and Tap classes.
We also offer summer music classes for young children.
No matter what your child's interest, Hartt Community Division offers music and dance classes that will inspire a love of music and dance.
