Fund for Access

The Fund for Access is the Hartt Community Division's need-based scholarship program. Its mission is to ensure that children whose families demonstrate financial need can participate in Community Division programs. The program currently provides scholarships that enable students to take private music lessons and participate in ensembles and dance classes.

Eligibility for assistance is limited to pre-college students and is only available for one activity per child. Applicants must submit a completed application which includes a completed registration form and supporting financial documentation. Funding is limited and students are encouraged to apply early.

Financial aid for the 2015-2016 school year will be awarded on a sliding scale basis. Financial aid will not pay for lessons or classes in full and families should plan accordingly based on the aid provided. Payment plans of up to eight installments are available for those who qualify. Students who receive financial aid must show commitment through attendance at all activities and achievement in their area of study to maintain eligibility for continued financial support. Additional information is available in the application packet.

Students are limited to one program of study for financial aid. For priority consideration, all application materials must be received on or before July 1, 2015. Please be sure to include a signed, completed registration form as well with your application.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Fund for Access to help ensure that all may participate in our programs, regardless of financial limitations.

We are grateful for 2015-2016 support for the Fund For Access from generous individual donors.
