Fund for Access
The Fund for Access is the Hartt Community Division's need-based scholarship program. Its mission is to ensure that children whose families demonstrate financial need can participate in Community Division programs. The program currently provides scholarships that enable students to take private music lessons and participate in ensembles and dance classes.
Apply
Eligibility for assistance is limited to pre-college students and is generally only available for one activity per child. Applicants must submit an application and their most recent tax forms. Since funds are limited, please be sure to apply early.
Financial aid for the 2011-2012 school year will be awarded on a sliding scale basis. Financial aid will not pay for lessons or classes in full. Payment plans of up to eight installments are available. Students who receive financial aid must show commitment through attendance at all activities and achievement in their area of study to maintain eligibility for continued financial support. Additional information is available in the application packet.
- The 2012-2013 Financial Aid application is not currently available. To be placed on a mailing list, please email hcdbills@hartford.edu with your name, address, phone number, and email address. You will be notified when the application is available.
Donate
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Fund for Access to help ensure that all may participate in our programs, regardless of financial limitations.
We are grateful for 2010-2011 support for the Fund For Access from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving and Travelers, and from generous individual donors.
