The Hartt School is thrilled to present StringFest! An inspiring musical and educational experience for music lovers, the StringFest will select applicants of all ages on violin, viola, cello and bass to participate and attend in a week-long intensive series of string and chamber music masterclasses, open rehearsals and concerts featuring Hartt Professor of Bass Robert Black, the Hartt String Quartet (Anton Miller, violin; Katherine Winterstein, violin; Rita Porfiris, viola; and Mihai Tetel, cello), and special guest cellist Lynn Harrell.

The Registration Deadline for StringFest participation is extended to March 12, 2013!

We invite string players of all ages, either with preformed groups or as individual soloists, to participate/attend in any or all of the events. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a thrilling, inspiring and informative week. Accepted masterclass participants will receive a complimentary admission to the concerts and an opportunity to play in a masterclass and/or string orchestra reading session. StringFest Events

Admission to all StringFest events is free unless otherwise noted.
Registration is required for participation in masterclasses. A $25.00 fee applies. Sign up early, space is limited!
