Biography: Shawnn Monteiro has shared the stage with Spyro Gyra, Clark Terry, Red Holloway, Ray Brown, Lionel Hampton, Frank Foster and the Basie Band, Nat Adderly, Kenny Barron, The Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Gary Bartz, James Williams, Jack McDuff, Keter Betts, Bobby Durham, Jimmy Cobb, Stanley Jordan, Ed Thigpen, Johnny Griffin, and Sonny Fortune to name a few.  In addition to her role at Hartt, Ms. Monteiro teaches a master vocal class in Rome and Genova, Italy every summer (since 1995) and teaches jazz voice at Rhode Island College.  For further information, please visit Ms. Monteiro's website at www.shawnnmonteiro.com.
