Brass

Brass performance training at Hartt is a comprehensive program designed to prepare horn, trombone, trumpet, tuba and euphonium musicians for careers as performers in the 21st century. The Brass Faculty at Hartt are nationally and internationally recognized orchestral musicians, chamber players, and accomplished educators.

Guitar, Harp & Keyboard

The Guitar Program at The Hartt School is the oldest and most developed performance-based guitar program in the country. Its faculty tour all over the world as clinicians and performers. The harp faculty provide highly individualized instruction and ample performance opportunities. The keyboard faculty are internationally renowned pianists and organists, performing throughout Europe, Asia, and North and South America.

Percussion

The Hartt percussion program enjoys a rich tradition of excellence and diversity dating back more than fifty years, distinguishing The Hartt School as having one of the first percussion programs and percussion ensembles in the country. The Hartt Percussion program normally employs one adjunct guest artist faculty member with a specialized area of expertise, e.g. Afro-Cuban, Brazilian or African Percussion, hand drumming, jazz vibes, etc.

Strings

The String Program at the Hartt School is led by a diverse group of exceptional musicians known the world over as performers and educators. The faculty's combined experiences as soloists, chamber musicians, orchestral musicians, clinicians and lecturers prepare graduates for success in today's demanding job market and ensure
each student a complete education.
