Annmarie Davis

Biography: Annmarie Kelly Davis serves as Stage Movement Specialist in The Hartt School Theatre Division and has served as guest lecturer in The Alexander Technique with Hartt School vocal students. She has directed the following at The Hartt School: Into the Woods, The Secret Lives of Losers, The Laramie Project, Street of Crocodiles, Reckless, Pajama Game, The Lower Depths, The Diviners, The Living and Enemy of the People. She has choreographed: Chicago, Marat/Sade, Love's Labour's Lost, The Winter's Tale and All's Well That Ends Well. Regional Theatre affiliation includes work as an actress and singer: Hartford Stage Company (most recently Motherhood Out Loud!, The Laramie Project - Epilogue, Christmas Carol, and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof), Swine Palace Productions, The Walnut Street Theatre, Actor's Theatre of Philadelphia and The Monomoy Theatre. Annmarie was featured as Madame Hebert in the Louisiana Public Broadcasting premiere production of Evangeline the Musical (which can be seen on YouTube). As faculty member/guest lecturer, she teaches at the Eugene O'Neill National Theatre Institute, and has taught at Central School of Speech and Drama (London), Fordham University (Lincoln Center), Shakespeare & Company's NEH National Institute on Teaching Shakespeare, Tulane Shakespeare and Louisiana State University. She is a certified teacher of The Alexander Technique and holds the M.F.A. in Theatre from Ohio University and M.A. in Counseling from St. Joseph College.
