Marishka Wierzbicki

Biography: Marishka Wierzbicki, who teaches voice for the Theatre Division, earned a B.F.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.M. from New England Conservatory of Music. She has studied with Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Regine Crespin, Virgil Thomson, Robert Joffrey, Marcel Marceau, and Edith Skinner. Wierzbicki has performed 18 principle roles in opera, operetta, plays, and musicals in Germany, Austria, and the United States. She has performed in solo cabaret in Berlin, Vienna and New York City, and has danced in Joffrey, Ill. As well as teaching at Hartt, Wierzbicki has taught at the Performance Arts Studio in Vienna, Cap 21, and at New York University. She has earned a Kosciuszko Foundation Scholarship and a MacDowell Colony Fellowship.
