Cantor Sanford Cohn is the Hazzan of the Emanuel Synagogue in West Hartford, where he supervises all musical activities. He has also led congregations in Winnipeg, Manitoba; Silver Spring, Maryland; and in Whitestone and Port Chester, New York.

Cantor Cohn earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in 1976 and graduated from the Cantors Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in 1982, earning both a Bachelor of Sacred Music and the Diploma of Hazzan, where he received awards in composition and musical excellence. He is currently a member of the Cantors Assembly and the American Society for Jewish Music.
