Conducting (Choral)

The Master of Music Education (MMusEd)degree in Music Education-Choral Conducting emphasis is designed for graduate students who wish to further their teaching and conducting skills. Additionally, it will prepare students for entrance into a DMA or Ph.D. program or a profession in academia.

Performing Organizations (0 credits)
Students are expected to be in a performing organization each semester of full time enrollment. If qualified, students may elect to perform in additional performing ensembles.
Research Colloquium (0 credits)
All full-time music education graduate students are required to enroll in MED 520, Music Education Research Colloquium.
Total Credits 40

1HLM 611(1), HLM 612 (1), HLM 613 Graduate Music History Review are required if deficiencies are identified during placement examinations. Credit earned from any of the Graduate Music History review courses will not count toward the fulfillment of degree requirements.

2TH 611 (1), 612 (1), 613 (1) Graduate Music Theory Review and TH 614 (2) Graduate Ear Training Review are required if deficiencies are identified during placement examinations.
