Pedagogy

A Master of Music Education (MMusEd) with a Pedagogy emphasis enables the student to design coursework that will strengthen his/her understanding and application of effective teaching methods.

Pedagogy Emphasis Courses (12 credits)
Pedagogy courses may be selected according to the needs of the student with approval of the advisor. The courses may be drawn from both regular school year and Summerterm offerings.

Performing Organizations (0 credits)
Students are expected to be in a performing organization each semester of full time enrollment. If qualified students may elect to perform in additional performing ensembles.
Research Colloquium (0 credits)
All full-time music education graduate students are required to enroll in MED 520, Music Education Research Colloquium.
