Instrumental Performance


The Hartt School's graduate programs reflect the contemporary needs of students entering a vast array of creative performance and teaching careers. Students have opportunities to grow and thrive under the guidance of a faculty recognized nationally and internationally for their artistic and academic accomplishments. The Hartt School faculty members are the recipients of major awards, fellowships, and grants and have appeared at the world's greatest performance venues. Hartt's faculty are committed to and are proud of the select student body and work hard to ensure the high quality of Hartt's graduate programs. Our intimate graduate program of 110 students ensures that students participate in many performance and educational opportunities as well as personal career development experiences facilitated by faculty and guest artists/lecturers.

The GPD requires a residence of two years and a minimum of 24 earned credits . Full-time course load: 6 to 9 credits per semester. The Graduate Professional Diploma must be completed within three years from the date of matriculation.

The total tuition cost for this program, based on 2011-2012 tuition figures and 4 semesters of study, is $26,550 for tuition, $1500 for fees, and $1200 for books. These figures are subject to change.
