Hartt alumnus Phillip Boykin '95 plays Crown in the American Repertory Theater's production of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess in Cambridge, MA, and former Hartt student Christopher Jahnke orchestrated the show. Tony Award winning actress Audra McDonald and Norm Lewis star in the title roles. Performances of The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess begin on Wednesday, August 17, and a transfer to Broadway is planned for this winter.
