The Hartt School Presents Sing for the City on Sunday, October 16, at 3:00 PM at the St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church, 285 Church Street, Hartford. A suggested donation of $15 will be collected at the door.
The Hartt Choral Department, along with guest choruses, presents its annual Sing for the City fundraising concert. Hartt’s choruses and conductors, Edward Bolkovac, Colin Britt, Carolina Flores, and Stuart Younse, will be joined by the Hartford Chorale Chamber Choir and the Glastonbury High School Choir, conducted by Hartt alumnus Ethan Nash, in this annual community fundraising event. All proceeds of this year’s benefit go directly to the Sandwich Ministry of the Franciscan Center, which works to alleviate hunger for the homeless, unemployed, and underemployed.
Hartt’s Vocal Studies Division, lead by Bolkovac, has raised more than $30,000 for charities across the Greater-Hartford area in recent years through this annual event. |
