Registration and Status Options
Most courses at the University of Hartford are available for graduate credit or noncredit. There is no audit option or reduced price for summer courses. Courses may be taken for a letter grade or with a Pass/No Pass grading status. Participants wishing to apply a course toward a degree should check with their institution regarding the Pass/No Pass option.

Continuation of the Connecticut Professional Educator Certificate
Graduate credit courses from regionally accredited colleges or universities may be taken for full graduate credit (not audit) and used in lieu of continuingeducation units (CEUs). The calculation is 15 hours = 1 graduate credit (1.5 CEU). A transcript is sufficient proof of CEUs accrued for coursework taken. For information regarding the Continuation of the Connecticut Professional Educator Certificate, contact the Connecticut State Office of Certification, Department of Education at 860.566.5201. Out-of-state participants should contact their state department of education for applicable guidelines. For CEU information call 860.713.6772.

Payment and Billing
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express cards are acceptable forms of payment. Checks should be made payable to the University of Hartford in U.S. dollars and payable through a U.S. bank. The full housing fee, the registration fee of $30, and half of the tuition must be submitted at the time of registration. The balance must be paid in full by the end of the following month. If the terms of the payment plan are not met, there will be a default charge of 1.5% per month on the unpaid balance. Questions regarding payment should be addressed to the Student Administrative Services Student Administrative Services Center (SASC) at 860.768.4999. Checks returned for insufficient funds will result in a fee.
For the convenience of students who register by mail, a charge authorization may be completed on the registration form. Also, once registration is processesed, students may pay using our automated system by dialing 860.768.5734 (option 2, then 1). Students may also make credit card payments through the University's Web site, www.hartford.edu. Click on the "Self-Service Center," choose "Students," then enter your Social Security number and your personal identification number.

Grade Reporting
Grade reports are mailed only two times during the summer: at the end of July and at the end of August. Participants who require grade verification before the end of August may request a verification letter from the Hartt Summerterm office.
